Grey drizzly day. Waiting at the Park for the Girl Scout troupe to arrive, so I can lead them on a discovery hike. (We had a great time; 8 yr olds are awesome.)
I like so much about this sketch Hashi. At first look it conveys your scene and the day evocatively. And with minimal lines and shapes and colours. Each one chosen with care. The misty grey in the background, the soft pencil use there and then the stronger, clearer black as the image comes forward. The black asphalt, the green trees, the touches of warmth in the hills. Then the highlight of the three cars in ink. With their red headlights glowing, waiting…
