I’ve known Pip since she was knee-high to a grasshopper. Her family lived three doors down when I was a kid, and I used to babysit her and her siblings. She now has grown kids of her own, and we are still friends. Happy birthday, Pip!

Happy birthday to a dear friend.

Birthday card for my “little” brother, painted from a photo on his IG.

My great-niece has recently become interested in skateboarding 🛹

Nasturtiums and Mexican marigolds are both very strongly scented flowers, one peppery, the other more citrusy. Put them in a vase together, and they create a visual riot, while the aromas somehow balance and calm each other. An analogy for my bestie and me? Maybe.

Julie and I became internet friends decades ago, in a visual journaling yahoo group (remember Yahoo Groups?) We subsequently became IRL friends. Though we live on separate continents, we keep in regular contact via video chat. Happy birthday, Julie!

For my brother, who loves to eat fresh fruit. Unfortunately, he’s been experiencing the rough end of the pineapple lately. Hope things improve for you soon, Pete!

Happy birthday to my favourite (only) grand-daughter xoxo

Getting a little abstract on the birthday cards. Loving this color combo.
