I was intrigued by the strong shadow, and learned later that day that the Tahquitz witch shadow is the stuff of legends (google it). I wasn’t there at the right time of morning to get the classic silhouette, but this one looks pretty witchy to me.
I’m in Palm Springs, California. There are no coast live oak trees here. There are many (non-native) palm trees. I appreciate the sere beauty of the surrounding mountains, but so far this flat desert town has not revealed its charms (or its good veg restaurants.) Tell me, what do people like about this place?
